History
| We are an all-girl, Girl Scout robotics team from Greater Los Angeles. We compete in the First Tech Challenge, held by F.I.R.S.T, standing for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. Our team started in 2007 and had a very interesting rookie year. At our first competition we placed dead last (if you consider that one team was disqualified) and were slightly disheartened, but we decided not to give up and went on to place third, second and eventually won the Inspire Award which took us to Worlds in Atlanta, GA, at which we placed second. In 2008 a new kit was introduced, which brought along some problems of its own, but we continued our winning streak and at our last competition won the Inspire Award again. We didn't place second at Worlds, but we are still one of the top 50 teams! In 2010 we had yet another great year, making it to Worlds a third time and winning the Inspire Award AT WORLDS! We have learned a lot, are constantly growing and are looking forward to another great year! |
